In the AIChE dues bill for 2002 (sent out in Autumn, 2001) a number of AIChE members used the check-off feature to signup for Alliance Membership in CSChE and IMIQ. During this period, a number of CSChE members signed up for Alliance membership in AIChE. None of the IMIQ members did so. The numbers were

AIChE members that signed up for IMIQ - 21
IMIQ members that signed up for AIChE - 0
Checks in the amount of $2688 and $840 were sent to CSChE and IMIQ, respectively, January 23, 2002, to cover the AIChE members who signed up for CSChE and IMIQ. The CSChE members who signed up for AIChE paid a total of $2436.
The check-off on the dues bill charged $47, of which $7 was retained as the processing fee. If CSChE and IMIQ want to have another price, it is essential that AIChE be told before the dues bills are printed in early summer.
